Welcome to my “deep, dark side”. When I moved from the South to New York City, something clicked in me and poems just started pouring out. In 1997, I compiled them into a looseleaf “book” and called it Screams In a Dream: The Urban Musings of a Country Girl. I don’t really think of myself as a poet, and scholars will probably agree, but I write from my experiences, my observations and more often from my pain than from my happiness (sorry Mom). Mostly I write from my soul; may yours be touched in a good way as you read.
